Default Triple 777 loose powder question

I am currently using 80 grains of 777 iin my wolf, and it is shooting very well with a 295 grain powerbelt. I would like to try the 777 Pellets, just for a hunting load. Would 1 - 50 grain, and 1- 30 grain pellet be the same charge as the loose powder?

I think most consider the 777 loose creates about 10% more boost. Therefore, 100g of pellets = 90g of loose. Thats the problem with pellets, getting an exact load. I would say to try 3-30g to = 80g of loose.

You would be closer if you shot 2 fifty grain pellets. Remember, the pellets are toned down to match Pyrodex Rs. So if your shooting 80 grains of loose T-7powder add 15% brings you up to about 92+ grains of equal Pyrdoex. So if you went with two pellets you should be close.

I personally have never seen where pellets were worth using.

loose performs so much better IMO.

I think pellets are a great option out in the field. here is what I do with my Encore. I will load it before a hunt with LOOSE powder and if I need to reload I use pellets because its easy and less chance of spilling or dropping the load. My gun shoots dead nuts with either at 100 meters.

BigDaddy12t... do you really have a "TON" of powder?... wow... thats a LOT!

Well, for as often as I get the chance to get out to the range, I would say I have at least enough powder to last me 5 years.[8D]
