Default Hornady 350 grain sabotless bullet update

I previously posted a question about these bullets in an earlier thread and most of the replies were to buy the bullets at the 5 bucks a pack regardless of the lack of people that had tried them. So I decided to go back to Wally World where I saw them and buy them since the poor ole guy in sporting goods couldn't get rid of them. There were five packs left (the same amount as my previous thread two days ago) but instead of the $25.00 it was going to cost me it came to $250.00. When I went back yesterday to get them they had lowered the price of the Triumph 209 X 50 solid black (both stock and barrel, no silver on it like some of the earlier models) with weathershield to $225.00. This store had been selling them for $347.00 but I have found two others that were selling them for $327.00. Anyway, I've been looking at a camo version but couldn't turn this price down or justify paying almost twice that for the camo version. So I guess I'll try the Hornady's out in my new Triumph and will post my results later. It looks like the prices are a-dropping at Wally World just in time for the holidays so if any of you have a desire for a Triumph then I'd head over to the nearest one to see if they are following suit like this one in Virginia.. They hadn't lowered the prices on their Wolf's or Optima's but they did have the Buckhorns for $100.00 although they only sold for $127.00 originally.

wow those are some expensive bullets..

I hate to say it, but if I had a chance at a Triumph for that price, I would really have to wonder if I needed another one. I like the idea of a Triumph but I really do not need another one. I hope my Wal Mart does not do something like that. But then they do not have any Triumph muzzleloaders.

I guess you're right cayugad. But I only had a Wolf prior to this one. My brother-in-law got the all camo version for Christmas last year and ever since I've shot his I've wanted one. I had been looking at one like his but they ain't coming down in price and I've only seen them in pro shops, Cabela's, Bass Pro. Even with that variety of stores and the high price, the camo's are still fairly scarce. But to snag a Triumph with weathershield for $225, even black stock / blue steel. is just too much a discount to justify having a camo version. Of course, I keep wondering if I just waited one more week; could it have gone any lower? This was the last one new in the box they had in the back and there is one on display left. Most likely even that one will be gone by the weekend.
