Default help for new black powder hunter

got a new tc pro hunter 209x50 and the primer extrator keeps pinching the bottom of the primer when i close the action of the gun, is this normal or am i doing something wrong?

im not familiar with that model but i would call thompson center before shooting it.

yes ,the 209 primer does not go between the breechplug and the extractor ..it goes in front of the extractor ..

Are you making sure the 209 is on the outside of the primer extractor. May be an obvious question but that would cause the problem. Remove the primer extractor and see if the action closes with a primer,
