Default Any advantage in using FFFG T7 over FFG?

I was just wondering if there were any distinct advantages in using one over the other?

The FFFg being finer grained pours easier in most powder and in Triple Se7en I honestly believes it ignites better in colder weather. Also because there is a small but appreciably noticeablepower difference, it will get things moving a little faster. I like it in my traditional rifles that shoot T-7 and in all my Whites other then the Bison. For some reason that Bison likes 2f powder. Some rifles like it, some hate it. All we can do is try.

I shoot Pyrodex P in the Genesis. 100 grains of Pyrodex P and a .458 300 grain Speer HP in a orange MMP sabot. Excellent bullet construction, amazing accuracy, and good down range thump.

So you've never used 777 in the Genesis?

SWThomas

Can not imagine that it would not work well in the RemGen, but I would suggest you reduce your load by 10% to start... T7 does generates its' peak power quicker than 2f so the pressures actually get a little higher than 2f andalso as cayugad says, there is usually alittle boost in velocity. I think 3f burns a little cleaner than 2f also.

I have not got around to shooting Triple Se7en out of it. I was sighting in three different rifles that week and then hunting season started.. I was a little busy. I will get to that soon though. Once I get used to this cold weather. I about froze today walking around outside.

I'd like to add that in some cases a rifle will prefer one or the other (3f or 2f) in terms of accuracy. Mine shoots noticeably better groups with FFFG.
