Default took my first with my new muzzleloader

I only had my doe tag left as I took my buck the 2nd week of bow season. She was a 160 yards away and she dropped with the shot. CVA Optima, 50 cal., 100gr 777, 245 powerbelt. Muzzleloading is as fun as bowhunting. I am just tagged out now with nothing to do.

That's a great shot and a nice eating size doe you have there. Where did you hit her with that powerbelt to drop her in her tracks? Also did you get pass through with the powerbelt.

Congratulations on the deer... now you can sit back and enjoy the meals.

she was double lunged but no pass through. I hit her high in the lungs and she dropped. She was a pig. I didnt think she was as big in the field till I walked up on her. I think this spring I am going to try some different bullets.

Just from the picture it looks like she was real healthy. Lots of fat under her hide?

Congrats on the doe. Do you have a way to post pics of the recovered bullet?
