Default pro hunter hunters

how far can you shoot and hit good with your pro hunter just got
mine i know everybodys different ,and what is your load

Was in Bob's G@T today buyin' a $6 jag, guy in front of me spent $1200, on rifle and scope! His pal said , you a muzzleloader now!! Darn, thats a lot of $$ all at once!!

Hi Junkie, welcome to the Black Powder forum. I don't have a pro hunter, but with my one in-line (a Lyman Mustang) I limit myself to 150 yards or so. I'm confident at that range - not so confident beyond that. My current hunting load is a 300 grain Speer Gold Dot Hollow Point bullet (#3974) in a Harvester short black sabot over 120 grains of Triple 7 FFFG. With my side locks I limit myself to 75 yards generally, but would stretch that to 100 if conditions are absolutly perfect.
