New toy today!!

Got a heck of a deal on a .50 Knight disc elite, blue/black. Had only 7 rnds through it. the 26'bbl was too long for my short buddy!! He is in love w/his white 97 anyhow!! Sooo the ? is what loads do any of you who shoot those disc rifles, work the best? Any help or comments greatly appreciated!!

Those Disc Elites are considered one of the very best shooting Knight Rifles made. And they are not powder shy from what I have read. If you ask Knight they will tell you to shoot Knight Red Hots (Barnes Expanders) out of it. But if it is like my Knights, they shoot about anything you stuff down them. The guy I got it from takes "Imacculate care" of all his stuff. If i wouldn't have been w/him when he 1st shot that rifle, I couldn't tell it had been shot. I've got barnes (knight) red hots, shockwaves and abunch of other bullets w/sabots. Lead (cast) etc. Gonna try something around 80-100gr t7 and 250-300gr for starters. The bighorn I just sold liked 90gr t7 and 285gr barnes. Gonna take 1/4 to 1/2 off the stock and thinking about 2" off the bbl. Make it like (somewhat) my old mk-85s. That now belong to some lowlife sobn thief!!
