Default oops mis order on my part

I ordered 3 3/8" ramrod tips from track of the wolf. that won't fit any of the ramrods I need to replace tips on.

any thing I could do with them, I hate returning stuff.

also I think they sent me the wrong front site. I ordered an silver front site. they sent from what it looks like an brass. maybe the silver. I'll work on it some more and see if it might be just discolored.

my left hand hurts from pounding the old front site on my new englander.

Are those the tips that fit on a shotgun cleaning rod? If they are you could use that as a range rod, cleaning rod tip. I can't remember if that is what they are for. Otherwise you have to consider the cost of shipping them back VS how much you have in them.

I may just pick up some steel rods from lowes and make one. little solder that should work.

I don't think I posted it anywhere other then fg's inbox on his site. may order the other type of tips and make an show rod for my hawkens. 3/8's dowel rods are not that much.

they could.

corey can you take a pic of those tips? 3/8" is the right size for T/C rifles. You may have to reduce the diameter of the rod so the tips can slip over them. If that's the case, you can use a grind stone to reduce the diameter of the rod, then when it fits inside the tip, mix some epoxy and push it on taking care not to get any epoxy in the threads for the cleaning jags.
After the epoxy dries, I drill a 1/16" hole through the tip and rod and drive a brass pin through it and peen both ends and file smooth.
