My son just bought a optima 50 cal. pro, whats a good bullet and load. Thanks Rich

I have the optima and it really loves the 348gr powerbelt, 240gr XTP with a black MMP-12 short sabot.

You could more than likely just buy the hornady sst with the supplied sabots and get good accuracy.

Just find a starting point and start off with 90gr Pyrodex,Triple 7 with your choice of sabot.

I have the same EXACT gun and I have tried a few different loads and am in LOVE with the one I worked on this year. I put a Nikon ProStaff 3x9 scope on it and it is dead accurate.

I am using 2 50gr. Pyrodex Pellets and a 350gr. FPB bullet. Mine is amazingly accurate. I feel confident up to 150 yards.......
