Love them things. Took a doe sunday morning using omega,100 gr bh 209 powder,300gr gold dot in a crush rib sabot,win 209 primer . These things are great. Worked good last year too,when i was using 777 powder. I will be usug these for a long time,if it aint broke don,t fix it.

Congratulations on the doe.. and I agree, them Speer are good bullets. The only ones I had problems with are the 270 grain .429 Gold Dots. I think I will try them in a 1-48 twist and see how they do.

I keep reading about using Gold Dots for Muzzleloading. Gold Dots are all I carry in my defensive guns. Where do you guys buy them and what size do you buy? What sabot works best with them in an Omega? Is a 300 gr. Gold Dot suitable for Elk or do they expand too much?
