Default First year muzzleloading

Just bought myself a T/C Triumph 50 cal. yesterday. Let me tell you this is a high quality gun, it is so light, and seems to be a really smooth shooter. This will be my first year muzzleloading, any suggestions???

If you can get your hands on some BlackHorn 209 and it is legal, try 100 grains of that and a Shockwave. If not get some Triple Se7en 2f and some 250 grain shockwaves and try that combination for starters. Sounds like a nice rifle. Good luck.

The powder will be dictated by how much shooting you will be doing. Triple 7 (FFg) or Blackhorn powder...BH is more expensive for less powder (10 oz vs a pound)...BH doesn't require swabbing between shots (though I think swabbing gives my barrel time to cool). Try the 250 grain shockwave bullets with Harvester short black sabots...after trying that I doubt we'll look elsewhere.

Congrats and welcome aboard!!!!
