Default Genesis report #2

Did some thorough shooting today. And it took a long time. A lot of swabbing and making sure all was consistant between shots.
I shot some 44 cal 265 gr cast lead bullets I had laying around, some 300 gr shock waves, and some 300 gr 44 cal XTPs. The cast bullets and the XTPs I used Harvester Green crushed rib sabots.
Because I shot Pyrodex P the last time out, I tried RS today. I shot a group with each bullet and wasn't satisfied with the results. Groups were not bad considering I was shooting 100 yards. But then I switched back to the 'P' and shot the group at the upper left target dot. I just wish I wouldn't have pulled that one shot. I think that is going to be my load. I did notice immediately that the 'P' is noticably faster. Just audibly from the shot to the bullet hitting the target was noticable.

Upper left group - I wish I could pull on that good... that is a great 100 yard group from a brand new gun...

I was thinking the same thing as Sabotloader.. from a brand new gun, that's pretty cool that you have hunting accuracy that fast. Those are great groups.

You know what? I think it was the duct tape around the scope that helped. Hmmm.... duct tape - protects from blow back fouling and increases accuracy. Whoda thunk it? Maybe I''ll put it on all my guns.

I like to hang a little duct tape off the back of my pants too (I tend to sit in the pieces I tear off) that way I know I have it covered..
