Default cleaning question

After hunting in rain I know water gets under the stock so my question would be do you think taking off the stock changes the scopes poi. Obviously you have to wipe down the barrel that lies in the stock channel or rust will be a problem. What do you guys do.

Wipe it down with paper towels and blow it out with an air pump. Don't take the stock off, screw tension is a big deal in getting it back together to hit your existing POI. Chap
