Default Omega or Triumph

Hey all. Looking to get my first muzzleloader in the next couple weeks for the upcoming whitetail season in December in Ohio. I am torn between an Omega with Stainless Steel Barrel for $459 or a Blued Triumph for $359. The Omega shoulders much better than the Triumph but everyone I have talked to at the local gun shop says the Triumph shoots much more accurate than the Omega and the Triumph has less recoil. What are your thoughts or opinions?

I have both and shoot both, they shoot about the same both of mine are minute of angle with there best loads.
The differences I find are not in accuracy capabilities, the Triumph is a pleasure to clean by comparison and being able to pull the breach plug with your fingers can keep a minor problem in the field from spoiling your day. Lee

The Omega may take a little longer to clean but you said your self that it feels better in your hands. I feel the same way. I like the way my Omega feels a lot better than the Triumph(don't have one but have handeled a few). Also you are getting a stainless barrel with the Omega. I really don't think you will be disappointed with either gun. If I had to choose, I wouldpick the Omega again just because it feels and fits me better than the Triumph. I don't mind it taking a little longer to clean as long as the gun feels right in my hands a shoots good.My omegawill shoot one inch groups all day long as long as I do my part. Hope this helps. Happy hunting.
