I graduated from a black diamond to an omega. What are the pro's and con's of this scenario? 150 grains 777 pellet with 240gr bullet or 300gr bullet / or 100gr 777 with same
First off welcome to the rifle. The real question is will the rifle shoot that 240 or 300 grain well, and with what charge. I like a heavy bullet. They might not be as flat shooting as some of the lighter bullets, but down range the additional smack is welcome. As for the powder charge, try them at 100 grains. That is plenty powder for most shooting.

While 777 pellets are handy and easy to use you can fine tune your load a little easier with loose powder. I was using 100 gr. bh 209 with 300 gr. shockwaves in my Omega with goood results, 2 to 2.5 in. at 100 yds.I increasedthat to 110 gr. and got a little better groups. Just depends how much accuracy you want. That is a personal choice. Blackhorn 209 and 777 or very close in the velocity department. Hope this helps !!!

100g 777 with Nosler Partition and Crushed Rib sabot or 100g of Blackhorn 209 with Barnes 300g MZ and supplied sabot, Winchester primer. Both very accurate, both very great terminal performance bullets.

The same loads work in both the Omega and the Triumph for me.
120 gr BH209 or 777 with short black Harvester sabot and 250gr Shock Wave
110 gr BH209 or 777 with MMP HPH24 sabot and Gold Dot 250
100 gr BH or 777 with 200gr SW and supplied sabot.
100gr BH209 and 350gr FPB
I shoot 90gr of powder and a 240gr bullet. Here is my group from my 1st (and only so far) range session this year. This was from 50yds. My goal was to be an inch high at 50 yds......I didn't have to change a thing.
Then, I moved out to 100yds and got this group. My first shot was just right of the bulls-eye. Swabbed the barrel and shot again and hit the bulls-eye. I nearly quit right there and went home but decided to shot a "follow-up" shot. It was the one about 1.5" left. Shot a 3rd follow-up and it's the one that is 2ΒΌ" left.
Shot 4 more times, each time on a clean barrel and hit the 4 corners. I was satisfied with this and packed up and went home.
And your satisfied with four hits in the bull out of four shots???? Well YEAH! Bet you were grinning all the way home.
