Well that is a tough decision. Two weeks gives you lots of time but remember about 80% of the deer are taken the first 2 days of the season. Plus opening day is kinda special. Like birthdays, You can celebrate your birthday any time but it has more meaning if you celebrate on the exact date. I guess it depends how well you do on no sleep!
Tired grumpy people with loaded guns scare me! LOL
Surely you have vacation time??
You are the only one that knows your limits of endurance with sleep deprivation. Lack of sleep can be dangerous. Add to that a firearm or perhaps worse, climbing into tree stands and someone could get hurt. Also without sleep your job could suffer and you have a committment to them as well. So the choice is yours.
I've done it in the past and it was not a lot of fun going back to work.

Hey Corey you can always do what I do. I usually go out, find a nice comfy spot and go into one of those semi comatose states. I am totally relaxed, eyes closed but my ears are still awake. You know sort of how Semisane goes through his entire life.....

Corey,
As a shift worker myself at the MeadWestvaco mill here in Covington, I can relate to your dilemma. I will go after I wake-up. I did not go today because I was up late last night at my union hall working a haunted house for the kids. I am off for 2 weeks and will go Monday. I have went after 11-7 and I usually feel like crap in the woods. I will doze-off and the Lord only knows what walks past me or my snoring scares everything off. LOL!
