Default Pricey shooting session PART TWO

Went to the NRA today with my bro in law with the cva optima. First shot @ 100, 3" to the left, adjust. Takes out the center, We adjust the scope up 4 clicks. its 10" high! Adjust down again, 6" to the left.

To make a long story short, 20 shots later and its fudged.

I shot 6 shots @ 50 yards and my scopes elevation is MAXED out and i am still 2" low @ only 50 yards!

Scope is a bushnell trophy and will hopefully have some kind of replacement warranty. *Always bring your open sights with you!*

22-250 will be in the field tomorrow [:'(]

If you are max'd out on one of the adjustments, the scope will very likely go nuts but be okay once you re-center it. Your problem is more likely the mounts. At least that is what Bushnell told me when they sent mine back re-centered.

I had a Bushnell scope last year that maxed out and still shot low. I changed the mounts and it dialed in fine after that.

I had a Tasco do that. I re centered the scope, changed the front base to the back, re mounted the scope and sighted it in. That's a shame that the scope went out on you. Good luck.

scope was perfect for me, he adjusted 3 to the right and it just went nuts! I am going to email Bushnell once i get home and hopefully have it fixed. I removed the scope already and the mounts and rings were tight, nothing loose.

The only good thing out of the day was i got to introduce a muzzleloader to my brother in laws nephew. He had never shot 1 before and he squeezed off 3 shots. After the first shot he started laughing and told me that he never shot a rifle with a trigger that smooth .. He had just finished sighting in his 30-06.

I even resighted in the rifle for my eyes and it just would not adjust.

FG We have the same problem right now with a 3x9x40 bushnell trophy on my nephews mossberg 500 with a cantilever slug barrel , its still shooting low at 50 yds and the adj. is maxed out. I pulled the rings and swapped them, still didnt work. Im taking it back to Cabelassunday, ithink i might get something different after hearing about another one going bad

60" range of adjustment on those 3x9 Trophy models. Nikon Prostaff would give you an 80" range.
