Default my shooting sticks

I wanted to post some pictures of my shooting sticks. I made them out of hard wood dowels. First I drilled out the ends and put arrow inserts into the ends and used JB weld to glue them in. Then for the feet I used screw in archery field points, either the big hard plastic "śrubber"ť type or I can use the pointed metal tips. Depending on what I am doing I can change them.
I finished the wood and sealed it to keep out the moisture. Then I drilled the top and added gun sling swivel studs. Then I made a leather strap with a set of uncle mikes sling swivels. This gives me a leather spot to lay my gun in and it won"™t allow the sticks to be over spread. I also use the strap to attach it to my back pack.
Last I added mole skin to quiet the sticks down. I have not hunted with them yet but I have used them for shooting practice. They are just under 4"™ long. Ron

They look like a very good set of sticks. I am sure they will work real well. When I use the sticks, I like to get my back to a tree and have them infront of me. With my back rested, and the rifle's weight on the sticks only, I can get very steady, and actually adjust the angle of the sticks to raise and lower the elevation of the rifle aim a little. Those like like they will work great.

When I get to my stand I adjust the height I need by moving the wing nut and bolt to a different hole. I then lay my glove in the V of the stick and shoot out of that.

Those look very good, Ron. My only concern would be noise from the sling swivels contacting the wood?
