Default breakthrough load with the Traditions Pursuit XLT

Hi all,

After getting razzed by my dad for all the bullets etc I've been experimenting with, it finally came together last night. I put 2 shots 1" apart at 200 yards. I couldn't believe it...that's better than my centerfire rifles.
I had been shooting 200 and 250 grain shockwaves, hornadys, powerbelts, and even old remington corelokt sabots...along with different loadings of pyrodex loose RS.

I decided to pick up some 300 grain super glide shockwaves yesterday and try them, since the heavier bullets seemed to be shooting better for me. Anyway, along with 130 grains of powder, they did the trick...I'm so happy.
I encourage others to try this load. I have the omega bdc scope and, at 200 yards, I have to use the 225 yard circle. I'm sighted in at 100 yards with the crosshairs.

Thought I'd share so you all might be able to try this load in your rifles.

Well that is good that you found a load. These inline rifles are sometimes hard to find a load. Not like the old roundball rifles where you loaded powder and a patch and ball.

I shot about 200 rounds in 3 different inlines in the last couple of weeks and when it was all said and done I found myself liking my 54 cal. roundball Lyman Great Plains rifle more and more. especially after tallying up the cost.
