Default Help! Is White Rifles still in business?

Hello all.......I'm new to the forum. I stumbled upon this site and figured maybe with all of you guys on here and your contacts somebody could help me. I own a .50 cal Model 97 Whitetail muzzleloader by White Rifles. They are based out of Utah. Does anyone know if they are still in business? If not, where can I get parts (209 conversion kit to be specific)? Thanks for any help and good hunting this fall!

Finding a conversion to a 209 might be a little hard to do. Why not just shoot loose powder and a #11 cap. I never have any problems with my three whites going off that way. In fact I have a 209 conversion for a model 97 that I have never used. While I really don't want to sell it (you never know when the bug hits you) I really never even consider it much.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll try to contact someone. cayugad, what do you want for that 209 conversion kit? If you really don't see a need for it, I'd give you a very fair price for it. That's all it is, just an itch to shoot the 209 and also I don't want to buy a new gun. Let me know!!!

Like I said, I got it new with my Model 97 Ultra Mag and immediately went to the #11 cap, breech plug, and hammer striker. But I really do not want to sell it. One never knows when he might get an urge to change it over to 209 for some reason.

Thanks for all the help guys. I got an email back from Steve Brown who run White rifles and he said they still make the 209 conversion kits but they are out of stock for 6 weeks. Looks like next year I'll be using it. Thanks again.

That was the reason for my ? ? marks. Steve Brown is very good at suggesting they have something they in fact do not (and may never) have. Try Doc or Tom Lodge via http://www.sunrisearchery.com (click on the White). Tom has access to asupply of partsbut I do not think any conversion kits are part of that supply.
