thumper you had me worried there until that last explanation..

I have a friend that has hunted deer for over 30 years with a T/CSeneca (I believeis his model).45 caliber rifle shooting roundball. He always shot 80 grains of Goex 3f and a patched roundball. He never seemed under gunned and got his deer almost every year with the thing.

Semi; Its because I don't have any .45 cal balls! I did pick up a box of TCs .45 maxis, 270gr I think, they had some 320 maxihunters too. Also they had a scope base (old style 9930) if I remember right. They also had at least 3 bases for round bbl tcs. New englander, PA hunter, that take the weaver style rings!! So anyone is interested I can get the info or the bases and send them. cost+ shipping. They were around $15.00 or so, less than $20

Are these bases the off set for the Englander and the Penn Hunter? If they are I'd be interested in them.
