Default Sightron Scope Warranty

A while back, I had a Sightron scope fail on me. I went to the range and it fogged over on me. Since Sightron had a warranty, I mailed it back with a letter that explained my complaint.

Today UPS brought me a package. It was from Sightron. But they did not send me back my Scope. I mailed them a Sightron S-1 3-9x40mm fogged up and no paint left on the bottom of the scope. The result of shooting it on my open breech modelKnight Wolverine. Well this scope is brand new. Granted it is an identical Sightron S-1 but just new. Way to go Sightron. Now that is customer service.

Well that's just fine.

It's really amazing to me what some of these good companies will do so far as customer satisfaction goes. I had the same thing happen with a lower end Simmons scope, and two years ago I sent a defective $89 trail camera back to Moultrie and they returned a new $140 model seven days later. Then there's TC, which sent me a free re-contoured hammer with a new lock attached for my scoped Renegade.

I can attest to the fact that Sightron will do that over and over again. They shouldn't HAVE to do that over and over again though.

I was kind of surprised when I saw the new scope. That other was burned reallybad and it was my fault as I never tried to cover the thing. I bought a different scope for the rifle in the mean time, so now I have a scope but no rifle to put it on. I either have to buy another rifle or sell a scope...

I too had a Sightron SII scope go south on me. It was on my SavageML. They replaced it with a new one. I am going to put it on something that kicks a bit less this time.

hntbambi on the contrary, I'd put that one a rifle that kicks like the devil and see if I could bust that thing again. If that scope can't take the stress, I have no need for it...

I hear ya cayugad, but I have upgraded most of my optics on my heavy boomers and varmint guns. It will work just fine on a 223 or even my .17 HMR.
