Default shooting patches

I have not picked up the stuff for Daves Moose Milk yet but I did pick up 200 pillow ticking patches 45 - 50 cal,un lubed.

I had some bore butter so i put 100 of the patches in a jar,put some BB in there and microwaved at 5 second intervals untill melted, the patches soaked up the lube and they are ready to go.
I will use moose milk on the others

Default RE: shooting patches

It should make an interesting experiment.

Remember, you can use moose milk to swab a rifle when you clean it, instead of your cleaning solution. I have used it to take out the major fowling until the moosemilk patch comes out clean. Then I switch to alcohol patches and swab a little to remove anything else. After a dry patch, just oil it up...

Default RE: shooting patches

I got the moose milk made after I posted the above
I see why you call it milk. Thanks for the formula Dave. Looks like it will be an inexpensive alternative to buying the stuff.
I saved the other 100 patches for the MM.
I could not find the slick 50 one grease but i have plenty of BP grease.
I put the MM in a spray bottle and have two other bottles one with windex the other 91% alcohol.
I got 100 490 Hornadyround balls and all my powder so I am ready to shoot the flinter (YES!!)
I also have some BH 209 on the way for the CVA and TCand picked up some 270 150 grain core-loct for the new Browning.

I have allot of work to do
Sounds like an all day session to me
