Default Got My New Barnes Bullets Today

I Got My New Barnes Bullets Today. They came in two days from MidwayUSA regular ground UPS, that is quick. I ordered two packs of bullets, the 50 cal Barnes Expander Spit-Fire T-EZ and the 50 calBarnes Expander MZ. I will be patterning them in a T/C Triumph and my NEF Sidekick. The T/C Triumph will shoot them first asI am waiting on a new style breech plug for the NEF Side Kick.I will post pictures of the groups as I get them, should have something to post sometimethis weekend.

Barnes are great bullets. Expensive, but great bullets. I shoot them in my Knight rifles.

Knight has some good deals on their website for Barnes bullets right now. Look under Online Exclusive. I just ordered a bunch.

Try some Blackhorn 209 in your Triumph, Lee has good experience with it at 110g I believe. I shot some 300g Barnes MZ with BHin my Omega and got abouta 1" group at 100 yards.

Good luck with the Expamder MZ's. I use those for hunting. They shoot great out of both my CVA Wolf and Knight KRB. Although I switched out the sabots for Crushed Rib sabots.

Saxman, tell your buddy to get the T/C Triumph, you can get them new for $350 in Blue these days. The Sidekick was a gift from my Dad, it shoots good but it has limitations on what you can do with it, due to the plastic primer holders. I am working on getting a custom breech plug to hold the 209 primers right now.

The T/C triumph is actually my girls gun, lknhuntress. It was getting late last night but she managed to get one shot off from 65 Yards with a 50 cal. Barnes T-EZ bullet. She smacked the bullseye, I was watching along with two of her two cousins, they were quite impressed. She asked if we wanted to try a shot and we all said "No Thanks" we could only look bad compared to her shot. It was pretty funny, thankfully it was getting dark. Take a look.

We should be getting out to try and see how they group today.

I see a lot of people referring to the crushed rib sabot, what is the benefit of it and where can I get them?

This Shot Was 65 Yards 100 gr American Pioneer (2) Pellets, Barnes Spit Fire T-EZ Bullet
