Default Triumph shooters

I've been shopping for one andknow the breech plug removes with great ease.
The trouble I'm having is every time I've removed at a gun shop, no one seems to be able to put it back in.
Is there a secret that you learn or does it get require a "break-in" period???

Like Rick said - line up the marks.
I then give it just a little thump and its in.

Keep the marks lined up and kind of shake as you push it into the barrel, you have to keep the threads lined up and sanp the rings into position before you can turn it to lock it in. Lee

the endeavor has the same breech design and when i saw it removed on TV it just pops right out, but in fact you have to wiggle or shake when you insert or extract. Like said, it takes some getting use to. I do know that after 15-20 shots it not to simple to remove. But its nice being able to take the plug out with no effort hardly just incase some idiot forgets to load the powder LOL

You must have been fooling around wit that breach plug locking 777, I shoot most of the day on mondays and take it out to clean out the carbon and stick it back in every 20 or 25 shots so far no problem and I got mine when they first come out [BH209]. Lee

beast44k,
I have had my rifle out twice since purchasing it and after cleaning it up a couple of times and checking the breech plug a few times, inserting it seems a little easier now. After showing my wife just once on how to insert the plug, she was able to insert it in a matter of seconds, even on her first try. And she is not a shooter.

You have to wiggle and pull at the same time. They do not come out as easy as on tv. There is a stamp for top of the bp, align the marks, wiggle and push in than turn clockwise to tighten.
