Default CVA Optima Elite

I just purchased a CVA Optima Elite. I have not shot it yet, I don't even have the scope mounted yet. I just wanted to know if anyone could provide a suggestion or two about which bullet/load combo to try. Thanks in advance.

Congrats on the new gun
There are to many load combos to mention.Opinions will very GREATLY.
I shoot the pelletts quite a bit because I have so many and they are very easy to store and use but I think loose powder is better.
I use Powerbelts,Shockwaves,Hornady's (3 diff kinds)I havent shot any all lead conicals yet but will get around to that.I try all kinds of stuff.
I will be hunting with a 270 grain Powerbelt Platinum out of a TC Encore in 50 cal this season almost exclusivly. My latest test were with 90 grains of Pyrodex Select RS 2FG and the results were very good for my particulal shooting skill level but I will be trying more powders and loads.
I am testing this bullettfor the Powerbelt forum as a part of a study on how to properly shoot them

Come join us and let us know your test results or the results for any other bullett you try.
Good luck in your search for Bullett/Load nirvana.
