I have one I made myself Semi has the instructions. You need an L drill and a lathe helps. Measure the depth the 209 goes into the seating hole drill out to fit the 25asp ctg to the same depth. Another option is www.dandtcustomgunworks.com They do the conversion for 20.00 with your breech plug I just bought a new one and sent it to them om my first one. It prevents a lot of blow back and clean up is easier. It helps to have a Lee primer loader you can use pistol primers or small rifle in this setup.

If you are not going to use BH. then it is really a very good option. A lot cleaner than shooting a 209 primer.

If you don't have an "L" drill, I just used the closest size available in our standard drill set...it worked fine though I can't remember the size off the top of my head. I did use a lathe although you could make it work on a drill press (don't ruin the threads!!!). My advice is to take the gun with you to where you do it so you can verify that the depth is right. I did not, and it ended up just a tad shallow and I had to go back and redo it.

I HIGHLY recommend this if you shoot 777. I would never go back to 209s, cleaner, no crud ring, and easier to handle with cold hands.

I have one but lever used it , BH 209 came out and i have noneed for it .
I don't want to fuss around with re-priming the brass . As long as the primers i use fit snug in the breech plug , i also have no blow buy . If you really want one , i will give you a good deal on mine . I have the breach plug (for encore ) and some brass . Never used , i put it in my encore thenremoved it . If you want it just e-mail me your address , i will send it to you and then you can pay me what you feel is afare deal for you and me . Its collecting dust !!!

Hi guys, Has anyone actually tried using the .25 ACP conversion with the new blackhorn 209 ? I thought I read somewhere where it would not work. I have an encore also and would like to keep it as clean as possible. I have two bottles of the blackhorn but its been to darn hot to shoot. Can't wait for fall !!!!

I think I read somewhere on the link in the first post that it had been done and worked everytime.

I have read both cases... one case it works another it does not. My concern is not now in warm weather but when it is really cold... I did buy a couple of packages of small rifle MAG primers that I am going to try at some point... but at this point it is not a must because I do not plan on making the switch to BH-209. I have a couple of bottles of it and have shot a few rounds with it but when I sit down and compute the price per shot vs T7 - I can not make it work for me... I just plain shoot to much...
