Default barrel interchangability?

According to the info on TOTW website, the GM barrel for the t/chawken can "easily be fitted" to an investarm hawken.

http://www.trackofthewolf.com/(S(lta24i451cx20x45ipebfj45))/categories/tableList.aspx?catID=14&subID=142&styleID= 491

Does this mean a t/c hawken factory barrel can be easily fitted to my investarm hawken? Does anyone know what is involved? Hopefully it may be as simple as shortening the barrel rib.

I've been looking for a .50 barrel for my .45 investarm hawken and they are not as common as t/c barrels.

Thanks,
Cory

Corey
I did it the other way around
I put a 45 cal in my 50 cal investarms, if I remember right it was for Hawkin and I had to do some stocktrimming with a dremmel toolinside and trim thebarrel ribabout 3/8".
I got the GM LRH in 45. It took about a half hour and it was done
Hope this helps

I have an original 50 cal Investarms barrel here if you want to check for fit before you buy
Dont know if it will help but it's here if you need it.

I'm not worried about the .50 fitting in the .45 as they are both 15/16. What I'm worried about is where the barrel tenon passes through the stock andbarrel underlug and ifit will line up.

You probably don't even need that .50 cal barrelsince you have the LRH barrel in .45 and that pretty Lyman flinter. Maybe you should sell it.

I did have to file my underlug a little to make the 45 cal barrel fit but it did.
I remember that it was you who hooked me up to the LH flinter in the first place.
The 50 cal barrel it the one that came with the Investarms Hawkin,I dont know what kind of shape it is in,I put allot of cleaning time into it but have never fired it.
I did put a new nipple on it though.
PM me with your address and I will send it to you,no charge my friend,it is just sitting here.
Just a little pay back for hooking me up with that fine Lyman Flinter.

Wow! That is more than generous. As for hooking you up with the Lyman all I did was find a good deal and post it for someone who was alefty. If it was right handed it would have been mine. PM sent, but let me know how much shipping is, it would be the least I could do.

Thanks again.
