Default 350 FPB 100gr RS- 50 yards.

Got some bullets in from Corey! Included were a handful of 350gr Hornady FPB's so i loaded up a sand bucket, mixed the sand the way you would for cement and fired a shot. Got my water hose and started to wash the pile of sand and first found some fragments and then the tip. A little more washing and out came the main portion of the bullet.

22 grams New - 16 grams recovered.

Going to find a new bucket and get that really filled up with half water and then half sand to see what it does. May have to settle for the same mixture due to all of my buckets being blown apart.

They load about the same as a Powerbelt in my omega on a clean bore. Will see how the follow up shot goes on a dirty bore. The electro plating on them looks like crap and doesnt seem to be any thicker than a powerbelt.

Ok i cut the flexy tip flush with the bullet as thats what the Colorado hunters will have to do. Same charge and distance.
This one weighs 16 grams, same as the last one.

i have 2 left so maybe i will load my standard 80 grain charge and see how they mushroom.

Might be able to handle 10-15 grains more powder before the centers really start to show through the bullet. Right now its a small section that i can see where the center is bulging out in the center a bit. Lead is very hard, reminds me of wheel weight lead so its pretty amazing to see a bullet this hard expand the way it is.

Flextip/ Tip cut off flush doesnt make a difference in expansion that i can see.

Noticed one thing, Loading on a fouled bore was to the point where i had to ball up my t shirt and had to grunt it down.

250Gr Sabertooths will be up next in a day or 2.

I found that for the best accuracy, swab the bore before loading the Saber Tooth.. When I did that they grouped real nice. I have not seen the new conicals you are shooting, and from my understanding of their price, I don't want to. After all, I have to save all my money for new rifles...

Only that Jim Shockey shoots one, and that those that own them really like them. I have yet to purchase a modern break open, or drop block, rolling block, type rifle. About as new as I get is a Knight Disc.

100 yards, 100gr RS, rem kleanbore. First shot was fine, second shot "High on the target" was horrible to load and shot horrible, third shot was horrible to load again but atleast it shot decent. Shots 1-3 Measured 3 1/2" which is bad for this rifle. The loading part on a dirty bore was just bad and i did not like it at all.
Finger points to POA.
First shot was to the right of the heart.

Recovered bullets weight 14 and 16 grams, Didnt recover the other bullet due to it impacting so high.
