Default shooting like you hunt

question
do you guys set up at the range like you would hunt. I plan to hunt with the muzzleloader 90% of the time from a pop up ground blind
Should i set it up at the range and shoot out of it with my shooting sticks and everything i would be using to hunt.

Or is it not need.

Since I also shoot off shooting sticks.. I do practice off them as well. Once I know the rifle is sighted in.

I don't do as much of that as I probably should. Most of my shooting if from the bench, with a little off-hand shooting at random targets for fun. Then again, most of my hunting is from box blinds or ladder stands where I have a solid rest. I do practice a little (again probably not enough) shooting with a tree trunk as a side rest because that's the kind of shot I usually take when walking the pine tree plantation where I hunt.

I hunt off a bipod, usually no blind just a folding stool. I practice off the bipod all the time. Shooting off the bench isn't actually all that bad for me because prone off a bipod is actually more natural and stable for me....bench shooting is actually harder.

I saw somewhere about using a knotted rope tied off above your head. It had a variety of knots at different lengths about every 12" and the idea was to use your left hand on a knot for the rest. This was in lieu of sticks or lean against a tree.

I like to get the rifle dialed in first and then "shoot like I hunt." That way I know when I miss it is not the rifle's fault
