Default Question

I have a TC Encore 50 cal and have purchased a SIMS recoil pad. I have a synthetic stock, but can't get the screws out of the encore recoil pad to re-use in my SIMS recoil pad. Anybody else have this problem?

Why can't you get them out? Find the slits cut when installed and pull them out, may need to put some lubricant in there, try some needle nose pliers.

I usually open the vise jaws a ways put the hole the screw should come out of over the gap and hit the screw with a board they will pop right back out with out chewing anything up. Lee

I had to actually use a blade to cut the screw hole in the recoil pad a little bigger before the screws would come out. Got it, finally!

thanks,
