#1 was barnes 300gr mz/120gr blkhrn 209/win209 primers=1"@100/2"@180yrds
#2was barnes 290tmz/120gr blkhrn209/win209primrs =1"@100only 1"higher@100/3"@180 but 2"higherbut i must admit by this time i was getting tired and mayhave flinched by then

i like the way those mz's perform but the trajectory of the gaping hollow point scares me. from what i have read, barnes bullets are hard to get to shoot good. i guess it's because they're copper and don't swell in the barrel on firing and catch the rifling. i needs to be a perfect fit.

why? theyre so fricking tight to jam down the barrel
they dont need to swell if you want swell shoot a conical or round ball
you wanted loads not bullet design-thats how they performed
in my gun at that time

I don't shoot them in a Triumph but I shoot them out of my Knight KRB and CVA Wolf. I know other guys like other bullets but I'll spend the extra buck or two in the deer stand for a bullet I have 100% confidence in. I shoot the Barnes Expander MZ in both 250 and 300gr.

The Barnes are excellent bullets in any gun, not justTriumph. I have shot the 300g MZ in my OMega with 100g of Blackhorn 209 and got 1" at 100. Will try 150 yards soon. I shoot 300g Barnes Origonals in my Savage smokless and get 1.5" groups at 100 and 3" groups at 200, 3" drop. The BC of the Barnes Origonal is .291.
