Default My Omega + FPB = wow

Ok, as I am sure some of you are tired of my rants about the Omega not being a consistent conical shooter, I now have to qualify that. Mine will shoot FPB's pretty darn well.

Using 90 gr of ffg 777, an Omega, 777 209 primers, and a 350 gr FPB bullet with the plastic cut off flush on front, I shot a 5 shot group of 3 inches this AM. Now with open sights and me shooting, that is a great group.

Sh##, now I am going to have to buy some BH 209 and give it a try! If it shoots well with that, this should be an awesome combination.

Since I have already shot a 2 & 1/4 inch group with this bullet out of my KRB, this bullet is really looking good to me. Only thing remaining is how it truely performs on game.

Glad you found a shooter TX. What distance were you shooting? I've been seeing a number of good accuracy reports on the FPB on several forums. If Hornady's claims with respect to performance on game prove to be true it should be a winner (though expensive).

Good shooting. I've been tryingn to find some to shoot out of my KRB, but so far nowhere around here has any.

WOW that is some good shooting. I have not seen them in the store. Just as well though, I have a lot of bullets to shoot off.
