Default starting from scratch with the new englander

I am no going to be able to send my new englander off until jan if not a little later, do to money.

so I am going to start from scratch with the loads and see if I can get something going with it. it is going to be with an round ball, I am thinking right now, tickering with a 50% borebutter and 50% crisco patch, pryo rs.

starting load?

going to start shooting from 25yrds to get it sited in.

lost all my notes on this, may have tossed them the last time I cleaned my range box out and did not know it. [:@]

Default RE: starting from scratch with the new englander

When I start a roundball load in a .50 caliber I always start at 70 grains and shoot for groups. Then I start working up until the group gets tight, then falls apart again.

With conicals I start at the same place...

thanks cayugad, but it is not need now, I forgot I already packed it up and got it ready to ship back to tc. not going to open the back up. (was moving boxs around this morning and found it.)

just going to take my knight usak out and shoot some conicals. have not really shot any out of it. I am going to shot both weights in the lee reals, some hornady great plain, and some powerbelts.

Good luck with your Knight. They are a great little rifle.
