Ok fellas I need some opinions/fact anything, I have shouldered both guns and even thought the stocks are different they both shouldered nice and felt good, I noticed the omega Z5 was a little heavery which may be a benefit. Other than the triumph being a break open and having the and the speed breachis there any other pros or cons. BTW I can get the Z5 for $100+ cheaper. Thanks.
The Omega Z5 does not have the better stock, but there are stocks you can purchase for them. Both are great rifles, and both will shoot great. Personally I would go with the Triumph after seeing some of the reviews the rifle has had. But the Omega was the pride and joy of many and still is.
If you hunt in cold weather were you wear gloves, the Omega as a narrow/smaller trigger guard for the gloved hand compared to the Triumph. And while the fast pull breech plug is better, the other is not that big a deal. If I were to get an Omega, it would be the one with the better stock.
A person I buy lots of sporting goods from and is a open sight (peep) competation shooter, shoots an Omega with a Williams Peep sight on it. He claimed he can off a bench rest ring a 12 inch gong all day long at 200 yards with his Omega set up the way it is.

If the Z5's heavier weight is a concern, considerthe new OmegaX7 model with the newfluted receiver anda24 inch lightweighttapered barrel which weighs 1 lb. less.
It'sTC's version ofanOmegamountain rifle.
I have both and with BH209 I can get cloverleafs with both on a good day with conditions [especally the wind just right.[ they both like 110 BH209 and 250gr SW Gold Dots or 200gr SW or XTP] the differances to look at are the stock on the Omega is designed to use iron sights but works fine with a scope for me the Triumph has a strighter stock designed for scope use which it works well for but I have a real problem getting low enough to use the irons on it. The other thing is the breach plug which dont make as much differance with BH209 as none of mine have shown any inclination to lock up and with BH you dont clean it unless you feel like it, also the Triumph is much easier to prime and faster, but with the injection 209 capper that dont make much differance either.
What I would suggest is if you can shoulder both and see which feels best to you. If it was me I would check out the new one to I been looking for one to look at. Lee

I have an Omega, and it shoots very well, in fact this past weekend I shot BlackHorn 209 at 100g in it the first time and got a 1" group with a Barnes MZ. Either gun is good. I believe the Triumph better because it is a bit easier to clean. If your concerned about price (i.e. $100 is a lot of money to you--I know it is for people raising young families), buy the Omega, you will not be disappointed. If you want the "latest greatest" and $100 extra is not a lot to you, then buy the Triumph, because that really is an "upgraded Omega". If accuracy is your game, both guns are very accurate.
Best Wishes on your choice,

i am in the same boat i am new to mls i will be buying the triumph
due to the easier cleaning and loading i like the feel of it
the only problem i have heard is the speed breach might seize up if you shoot alot with out cleaning or use cheap powder one guy said use a little anti seize on it and it helps
to me spending 400 or 500 on gun is a big deal so to say this is a 100 bucks cheap i will buy it you might want to really think about what you want not what cost the less
good luck

I have been using a Triumph ever since they first came out, never once has the breach plug been a problem, it is the only muzzle loader I have that has no blow back. Now remember you are suppose to clean and grease the breach plug among the things that you should do every time you shoot it. Your anti seize or any of the breach plug greases will work fine. I would recommend the new Western powder Blackhorn 209 which is very good for speed and accuracy and the cleanest black powder substitute. If you use 777 clean the barrel every shot and the breach plug quite often
