Default A little Good Luck...

Got my post cards from the Idaho Fish & Game this week both of the controlled hunts that I applied for I got.... happy happy happy

I got a late season xtra deer tag which I use during the ML season - so that will be the Renegade with the GM LRH SS barrel and some of Dan's hunks of lead 460 grain MT NEx's - guess I should say one of Dan's Bullshop conicals.

The other controlled late season hunt I got was for elk... it isa rifle season but I will use the Knight DE for this hunt, last year it was the Remington's turn.

I actually like the late season hunt - the weather turns sour and it is more like hunting - you do not have to battle the yellow jackets to see who is going to get the most of the animal. We really do not get much of a elk season during the rut... the bowhunter organizations have just about captured that themselves, + plus the elk number are down because of the loss of habitat and the wise people of Idaho re-introdued the wolf. They have done quite well since the introduction and are tough on elk calves. They were suppose to stay high in the Bitterroot Mountains, but apparently they did not get the message - you can find them right here in Latah county...
