Default scope for the apex

I need a scope for the apex, needs to be at most 11 1/4 in long, 32mm, and 3-9. also looking to pay (an wife kicking my ass) $150.
I am looking into nikon, but have not handled any or looked at box.

I nearly sprained my wrist turning the focus and ripped skin off my hands turning it too.

Your trying to focus the scope you currently have on it? ... turn the lock ring off first. If not, you will tear your hands off before you tighten against that ring. The aim at the sky or a plain wall and turn the eye piece counter clockwise. Ajust the focus until the sight picture is nice and clear. When you are satisfied with the focus, then retighten the lock ring.

The very small back ring on the end of some scopes is the fast eye focus. To use that, look at an object in the distances for about ten seconds, then quickly look through the scope and adjust the fast eye focus until it is clear.

I'm not sure if this will work for your budget but it should work for your gun.

That same3-9X40Nikon Prostaff scope can be boughtfrom Planetoptics.com for $149.95with free shipping included, andit comes in black or silver.
I've bought from them more than once and they provided good service each time.

If you want to get something cheaper andjust a little bit shorter at 11.7 inches instead of 12 1/8", there's the Bushnell Trophy 3-9X40 wide angle with the Multi-X reticle:

That same Bushnell Trophy scopeis also availablewith a unique TRX reticle that'savailable at Planet Optics. It resemblesachevron reticlefor quick, precisetargetaquisition, plus it has3 elevation gradients.

the pic you seen of me is 6 or 7 years olds, I have gained 40 maybe 50lbs since that was taken. was a meat cutter for 3 years, slinging 50 to 99lb cases of beef 2 to 8 cases a day. once I get the other computer hooked to the net, I get my wife to up link the new pics.

I will try that cayugad, worst case is I'll break it and have to replace the scope with an scope I have on hand, and remove the rear sight.
