Excellent Cayugad. Got a 1x scope on that gun?

I choke on the price of those Barnes bullets too, though I have to admit they perform great on deer.

Is the Black Diamond a 1 in 28" twist? I'd bet 300 grain Gold Dots would do better than the 250s.
That rifle has a 1.5-4.5x32mm Bushnell Banner. The Barnes were my old ones.. I do have a lot of new ones. And yes the Black Diamond XR has a 1 in 28 twist. I will have to try some of the 300 grain. I have them in .452 and .458. Which sabot do you think would work best?

In the Mustang, the .452sshoot best with the standard Harvester short black sabot, but crush ribs are a close second.

I get asked this question a lot.. counting barrels and smoothbores.. a couple dozen. I got rid of some of them and even traded one off for another one. I was kind of proud of myself there. If I count my parts rifles then the number goesup again.

Nice shooting Dave! I'll have to try that Slick 50 in my Black Diamond. I currentlyuse the T/C grease and if I am not careful my breech gets awful tight after just 1 or 2 shots. It is a great shooter though.

Be sure to finger tight and then back that plug off about 1/4 turn. It will come out a lot easier.. Also like I said, I check it after ten shots, but since I went to Slick 50 it has not even been near being stuck..
