Default green mountain in 45 cal.

I got this barrel about three weeks ago and shot it, tried to adjust the sights but couldn't get the rear sight down far enough, still shooting a little high. Called gm. and they told me they would send out another front sight, (not Kerry). But talked to Kerry last week and she said it was just sent out.
Anyway I couldn't stand it anymore so I shot 10 rounds today.

Ths one was with 80gr. pyrodex p, 200 gr. shockwave, hot shot nipple and spitpatch between every shot.

This one is the same but 200 gr. xtps. and hornady high pressure sabots

Looks like the xtp shoots a little tighter group, which is allright with me. They are a littlecheaper than the sw.And they seemed to load with a little more consistancy, two hands and smoother than the sw. Maybe with more or less powderI can getthe groups to tighten up a bit.

Thats not to bad of a group , what was the range you shot at. Is that a 3" dot
The 200gr Xtps like to be pushed a little harder I would try 90 & 95gr of powder see how that groups for you.

shoot - that aint too bad. Before I got my new set of sights, I couldn't get closer than 8" high. But my front sight was damaged in shipment and the fiber optic was broken and the sight was slightly crushed. The new sights came in and work great.
GM stands behind their products. Their CS has been very good to me.

Ya know I just remembered I have a half dozen 225 powerbelts in the cabinet that I got with my knight 45. I just might have to try them.

Those 225's did excellent in my deer creek .45 that i had. 1" groups @ 100 yards with 80g FFFg triple 7. I prefered pyrodex because it was a lot more reliable in that rifle.

Look forward to the results.
