Default Correction: FPB bullets not legal in Colorado

Well, it pays to ask a question several ways. I was not satisfied totally with the answer I got yesterday, so I asked again just to be sure. Here is his reply today:

Subject: RE: New hornady bullets

David,

I sent this down to law enforcement for verification and they told me
that because the bullet (plastic tip included) is over twice the width
of the bore diameter, it is not legal to use during muzzleloader season.
I apologize for the inaccuracy of my first response! I am not familiar
with this bullet, as it is fairly new. Thank you for double checking
though. I would hate for you to get sited in the field for my mistake!
Again, this bullet is NOT legal during muzzleloader season. Feel free
to email or call us with any other questions. 303-297-1192

Paul

I have now sent him a follow up question asking if it would be legal if we cut the plastic tip off. I don't know why it wouldn't be. Hopefully they will still fly straight.

And since I just ordered two packages, I will get a chance to measure them myself and be sure that they are over an inch.

If you really want to use them take a razor blade and cut the soft plastic tip off even with the metal. Lee

Without having the bullets, Theres no telling if cutting the tip off would do any good at all with the length issue.

Supposedly someone already did the measurments and they are over with the tip and under without. I will have some in a couple of days and will report back with my measurements
