Default finally got to the range

knight usak, tasco 3-9 x 40, cci #11 mag. mtm shoot and clean rest at 50yrds
70
10 to 20 mph winds. oh well
5 - 5 shot rounds
3 - 5 457 405 80, 85, and 90 grs. of triple 7 2f, orange mmp sabots
1 - 5 295gr powerbelts (For Gander) with 85 grs rs
1 - 5 prb 55grs rs
NO SWABBING BETWEEN SHOTS

wind was a factor but I am still happy. gave me a lot to work with. NFS need to do some work at the range. it is a chain link fence to hold the targets that was blow to hell.

first the 80grs
first shot I thought first was a complete miss. ended up being up to the top of the paper right near where I taped it. second was to the left of the bulls. third was right next to the first. forth right below the first and third. fifth. in the 8 ring right above the bulls. funny dirtier the barrel tighter better they shot.

cleaned the barrel,

85grs
first shot was to the left and high. second in the 7 ring and high and left of the bulls. third in the 7 ring above the bulls. forth shot between the 6 and 7 to the right. fifth touching third shot.

cleaned the barrel

90grs.
first shot was high to the left in the 5 ring. second was to the left of the first. the third was high to the right in the 5 ring. forth was in the 7 ring above the bulls. fifth was in the 9 ring next to the bulls.

did not clean the barrel

295gr hp powerbelts 85grs pyrodex rs
I also change the targets.
first was right above the aim point. second was right below the first one, touching the aim point. third was to the left of the aim point. forth, umm, I made a mistake and did not load an bullet. duh. fifth was to the right barely touching the aim point.

did not clean the barrel
55gr pyro rs. bore butter patch. hornidy round ball.
did not bring the target home. I hit one the bars and ripped the paper all to hell 4 out of 5 hit the paper. my knight shot round balls better then my new englander lol

Default RE: finally got to the range

My little Wolverine LK-II never did like strong powder charges. 80 grains and something between 200-300 grain always seemed to shoot best. That 85 grain group looks pretty good there.. was that with roundball?

Default RE: finally got to the range

don't have the round ball target. snapped a piece of fence and damaged it could not tell holes from shoots from hole made by the fence. the 85 grs pyrodex rs where powerbelts the 85grs of t7 was the other with 405gr 457 homecast.

ps. I am noticing that with my usak, all rounds I have worked up have been mostly 85grs of pyrodex p or rs.
