Default green mtn barrel

My green mountain barrel arrived yesterday while I was at work. I'm super excited, now I just have to make some time to get to the range. Have some 300 grain xtp's, 240 grain cheap shots, tc maxi hunters, and some 400 grain precision rifle. Can't wait to try these out, I'll post a range report after shooting.

cory - I have 4 GM barrels and every one of them can shoot better than I can.
I've had real good luck with the 275 gr Maxihunters over 90 gr of FFFg and felt wonderwad. On a good day this load will shoot 5 shots and have them all touching at 50 yds. I've also had some good luck with the 370 gr Maxiballs. Of course, every rifle/barrel is different but tinkering with them is where the fun is.

I have the 28 inch GMB in stainless with the 1-28 twist. For some reason that barrel likes a good strong powder charge. I normally shoot between 100-120 grains of black powder in it. the 300 grain XTP shoot really well out of the rifle. Also I mounted a 1x scope on mine. I want to see just how far I can shoot... later in the year out in the hay fields..
