Default RE: what would you take

That would depend on weather conditions, how long I wanted to stay shooting, and what shooting supplies I had around the house.

I just had a guy tell me that he had about ten boxes of 7.62x39mm SKS ammo at his house and asked if I wanted it for free. I told him sure. Seems his kid had a rifle and sold it, but never got rid of the ammo and then moved away. So when that shows up, I am going to spend a long day on the range with my SKS and see if it will go through some of that steel plate. I am kind of worried it might. Maybe I will cut some stumps with it?

I wish I had your luck I am down to my last 2 boxes of 7.62x39. can't talk my wife in to letting me buy a case of 1K.

shoot my last box of 50 wildcats today 10 rounds at 25yrds the size of a nickel. $35 for a brick of 500 [:'(]

fed wally worlds value bricks shoot pretty good. only $12 for 550.

and my new englander shoot great today. 2 delays other then that out of 10 shots. not a great grouping but it is a start with round ball crico patch, and 70grs of pyro p and rs both looked great. only a 25yrds but a start.

I may or may not put pics up. just depends on how I feel.

Recently when considering this question, I will ask myself, how many guns do I want to clean at the end of the day?

More often than not, I end up taking just one and no more than two guns to the range.

That might sound kind of boring, butthink ofthe benefits:

Less crap to haul around

Achance to really learn abouta particular firearm rather than a passing familiarity as you reach for the next gun.

Much shorter clean up time at the end of the day when you are tired and just want to relax.

I'll tell you, that Dave is leading a charmed life. UPS drops rifles off at his door for no reason, and now guys are giving him boxes of free ammo! Oh, well, what ya gonna do. Some guys have all the luck.
As for your question Corey, I'd probably take the '06. There is nothing that bothers me more than have a rifle in my safe that isn't sighted in. I don't rest until that job is done.

$35 for a brick Wildcats? They're only $17.99 here when they're not on sale for $14.99. Just a few months ago before the price hikethey were $12.99. You need to find another place to buy that stuff.

A couple of months ago, I ordered a pistol, a rifle and a shotgun. Since these were all MLs, UPS was able to deliver them dirctly to the house. They all came within a few days of each other. When the driver would come up to the house, my wife would ask, "WTF, another gun??!!"

A mere glimpse in to Dave's world

I got the ones I finished up I know for $8.99 10yrs ago. If I remember, i bought the place out of them then.

sadly I have 3 gunshops in the area only one of them sale the wildcats. walmart don't carry them at all. I think there was a recall on them not to long ago and no one thought about bring them back.

I am looking around my folks house and see if I can find a box of just laying around.
