Took the Renegade 54 cal out today as well as my new stock/GM LRH 50 cal. First pic is the Renegade target. Targets set at 50 yds, iron sights on both rifles.First 5 shots are at 6 o'clock in a tight cluster. No cleaning between shots, 80 gr Pyrodex, wonder wad, PRB. After sight adjustment, next 3 shots circled the bull. Barrel getting dirty.
Swabbed the bore and tried 2 shots with 360 gro T/C Maxihunter. That's 2 of them at the bottom of the target. The 3rd one missed target entirely. Guess I'll be using PRBs in this rifle.

I'm not as good as I'm gonna get - but I'm better than I used to be. "Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil - it has no point."
Here is the target from the 50 cal GM LRH. I figured it was sighted in so I only took 3 shot to see how it shot on the new stock. Not too bad. 80 gr Pyrodex, wonder wad, 275 gr T/C Maxihunter.

Dave - the top target was from my 54 Renegade with a std. T/C barrel. The bottom target was the LRH.

Then you have a good roundball shooter as well... I like the Renegades a lot. They are a real workhorse rifle.

Well I think this fall I'm going to take the Renegade with me for black bear. That will probably upset my Marlin Guide Gun but I always wanted to take a bear with the ML and the way this rifle shoots, I think a 230 PRB into the lungs will put one down pretty quick.
