Default stock( work in progress)

I think all the input from earlier. I decided to use an stain I already had on hand. colonial maple. I am done with the staining part of it. it was an windy but warm and clear day so I did it out side. using linseed oil as the protective. started that tonite. so far what yall think. I also free floated the barrel took about an hour.

I personally really like the looks of that color. But then I like a light colored rifle stock. How did you free float the barrel?

alot of sanding. I could not get it to float any other way. almost cut the front noob off. but If I wanted to put the band back on it. it is the stock on my 96/22. funny thing is, when I take it to the range it gets more attention then any other gun I bring to the range.

Good lookin stock, Corey. I used MinWax Colonial Maple when I refinished the stock on my 10/22. They look good like that.

I don't know, that was my last wood stock. I am applying linseed oil, so it is going to take longer then others. maybe work. go another job interview thursday at Kmart. lol

I am going to try to get in sporting goods.
