Default VA 2008 - 2009 ML start date

I poking around and found the VA ML start dates Nov 1 (east and west of the blue ridge). I am still trying to see if they changed any laws this years.

only change I found in any hunting reg for next season start 7/1

How long a MZ season do you have in VA? They vote on the Ohio regs next week. I think we might get an extra day this year-I forget what it said in the paper. Usually it's 3-4 days here. If your a bow hunter you get 4 months. Go figure...

last year for where I live we started around the first of nov. was early the about a week or two later rifle run for 2 weeks, once again I had 2 weeks off from hunting then run another two weeks of late. but where chap lives in va, I think they could hunt from almost 4 months, we can use ml during CF season.

ML only season was 4 days last year. You can use muzzleloaders during the shotgun season as well giving you a total of 13 days that you can use a ML.

Or get a crossbow and then get a 4 month season. Frankly that's irritated me so much I broke down and bought a crossbow...

Correct 1 Sat in November to 1 Saturday in Jan usually, this year however it went to 1st Sat in Feb. 3 bucks, unlimited does, 2 bonus doe tags $18. Only in Loudoun, Fairfax, Frederick and a couple of other counties. I am not moving.

I've got a friend that lives in Reston--one of his friends is continually deer hunting there in VA.

Another one of my friends here(he lived in Va until 2-3 years ago) has a 130 acre farm down in Meigs Co. Couple of his friends came over year before last got their first crack using a shotgun. We took 4 does that morning... I hung up my shotgun this year...Much more fun with the ML. Though it is harder to to the double kill now!
