I'm starting to like this little barrel more and more. 21" GM flinter barrel on my T/C Hawken. Today at 50 yds. the first 2 shots hit 1 1/2" left and 1" high but touching. I swabbed the bore and adjusted the sights. Next 3 were 1 1/2" right and 1" high - again all 3 touching. Unbelievable! I readjusted sights and swabbed again and everything started going to pot for a while.
Next shot hit same as last 3, next wide left about 4", next one hit high right. I waited a while, drank some coffee, cleaned out the bore good and dried it out. Put in a new flint. Next 2 shots hit 1" high and 1" right about 1/2" apart. I loaded up and took a shot at a 3" rock on the cinder bank at 100 yds and it disappeared.
I'll take it out again with a cold, clean barrel and see where its at. I think it may have been getting a bit warm. Load was 100 gr FFFg, wonder wad and 275 gr Maxi-hunter.
Also next time I will shoot at a black dot. That orange dot with an orange front sight doesn't give you much contrast.

It sounds like yours is as accurate as mine is.. I was just floored the first time I shot that barrel and the accuracy it was producing. I never tried a maxihunter out of it though...

I've been having good luck with the Maxi hunters in the 275 gr version. They shoot good out of both the 21" and the 28" GM LRH barrels. And they are respectible out of the T/C 1:48 barrel. But I shoot the 250 gr REAL bullets out ofthe T/C as it seems to like them a bit more.
Those 1st 2 shots were exciting then after the sight adjustment and shooting the next 3 into a cloverleaf, I was estatic. I should have quit right there. I am still undecided as to whhich GM barrel I am going to put on the curly maple stock when it comes in.
