It's gotta work. If it's from wally world the "PTFE" stands for Pakistan's Tape For Everything.

(3) There's no need to act stupid, even if you're very good at it. (4) If you eat right and exercise, don't smoke or drink, you're going to die anyway.
That should be the stuff.... but follow Cayugad's advice the first few times you try it.... after each 10 shots crack it back just a bit then turn it back in... Also remember Dave puts a little bit of BP grease on it also.. I do not but take baby steps to figure out how to use that tape..
What color is the tape????

I believe PTFE is the shortened version of the technical name for teflon. (teflon is PTFE, but teflon is a registered brand name) It should be the same type product and should work. I have found some types of teflon tape are better than others. (I'm a plumber, so I use it frequently) Some of it holds together much better when you wrap it on the threads. Also be aware there is a correct direction to wrap it in! You want to wrap it so it gets tighter as you screw the breech plug in.
PTFE - Polytetrafluoroethylene = Teflon(Duponts licensed brand name as wabi mentioned)
I use Unasco Pink on my breech, works very well and strong. It does require a good lapping due to thickness, otherwise it will try and thread out on you when installing the breech. I found this to be the best tape for pool filterheads. After having some issues with run of the mill PTFE, I tried it and have used it ever since in my ML's.
