Default New project in the works

Darn internet. I was doing a bit of searching and found the Pecatonica River web site and I just had to order a stock for my T/C Hawken. I decided to get a curly maple grade 3 stock. I filled out the order form and sent it along with my butt plate. I know it will take a while to get it and to inlet the trigger guard and finish it but it should come out nice. I've already started blackening the brass hardware. The only decision now is whether to put the percussion lock and 28" GM barrel on it or the flint lock and either the 28" GM LRH or 21" GM carbine barrel on it.
I'll post pics when I get it all complete.

Bronko,

Sounds like a nice set-up. Thosecurly stockslook fantastic with Birchwood Casey Tru-oil and no stain. Good luck finding a GM LRH 28" barrel in flintlock though. I think there may be some out there yet in percussion but the flinters are tuff to find right now. I do know where there is one in 24" length 15/16 LRH flint .50 caliber for $200.00 bucks.

Thanks for the input Mossie but I already have one on my old walnut stock. I'm just going to switch it over. I'll probably end up selling the stock on ebay less the hardware.
