I took the 45 Knight disc e-lite out today and burned some powder.
First five shot group: 80 gr. triple seven fff, 200 gr hornady sst, winchester primer,, not good 5" group at 100 yds.
Second five shot group: 90 gr. same everything else,, a little better 4" group.
Third group only 3 shots: 100 gr. sameeverything else,, 1.5" at100 yds.
So I guess it likes to be pushed, I am only set up for100 yds but some how I want to try 150 to 200 yds just to see what it will do. I just ordered athe same gun in 50 cal. They really seem to shoot good!!

It sounds like you have a good rifle there..100 grains of Triple Se7en 3f is a good strong load. I am going to push my Extreme next time with 120 grains of Triple Se7en 3f and see what happens.

Way to go dphobby. That's what I believe is the proper load development technique - sticking with one powder & bullet in progressive five shot groups. You learn something pretty definite and have a good base for comparisons when you do the same with another bullet or powder. Gotta keep those targets though, or good notes.
Next range sesson, start with the same bullet, repeat the 100 grain load, then try 110 and 120. But 1.5" @ 100 yards is pretty hard to beat (at least for me ).

Yes, 1.5" at 100 is difficult to beat with most inline MLers. The Savage guys can beat it consistently, but they really work hard at powders, loads, sabot and bullets. Shoot 110 and see if it goes to 2" or 3". 5 shoot and you can really tell grouping. Chap Gleason

Next time I will do like you said start with 100 gr. and go from there maybe 5 gr at a time and see what happens.
